The country’s largest children’s hospital has agreed to create a first-in-the-nation “detransition clinic” as part of a settlement closing a multi-year state investigation into its delivery of gend | The large pediatric provider had been under investigation by Texas' attorney general for three years over its gender-affirming care services. It said it agreed to the deal "to protect our resources from endless and costly litigation."

Move comes as part of Texas Children's Hospital settlement with Texas, Trump administration

The DOJ worked with Ken Paxton's office to secure the $10 million settlement, with the first five years free for patients funded by the hospital.
