In a landmark trial, a Los Angeles jury on March 25 found Meta and Alphabet's Google negligent for designing social media platforms that are harmful to young people.

Three of four defendants settled with a Kentucky school district ahead of a bellwether trial. Meta now faces 1,200+ similar suits on its own.

One down, 1,200 more school districts to go.

The Breathitt County School District still plans to take Meta Platforms, which owns Facebook and Instagram, to trial next month.
