The body of the hiker was identified as Anthony Pollio, a 33-year-old from Florida, the National Park Service said in a news release on May 9.

Search-and-rescue crews scouring a Montana national park trail for a missing hiker have found a body, according to officials who say the deceased had been attacked by a bear.

Rescue crews spotted the hiker's remains in a densely wooded area, with injuries "consistent with those sustained by a bear encounter".
