Sen. Thom Tillis said Sunday he is willing to end his blockade of Federal Reserve chair nominee Kevin Warsh after the U.S. Department of Justice dropped its investigation of Fed Chair Jerome Powell.

President Donald Trump's nomination of Kevin Warsh to replace Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell had been effectively blocked because of the investigation.

The move clears the way for his replacement's Senate confirmation, amid growing concerns over President Donald Trump's attacks on the independent central bank.
