The powerful weather ripped roofs off buildings and knocked down power poles. There were no immediate reports of fatalities and only minor injuries hours after the tornado passed through, according to the Garfield County Sheriff's Office. The National Weather Service in Norman issued a tornado emergency alert for Enid until 8:45pm CDT on Thursday, warning of possible golf ball-sized hail.
