An earthquake of magnitude 7.6 struck Indonesia on Thursday, killing one, damaging some buildings and triggering tsunami waves, authorities and witnesses said.

The quake had depth of 35km and its epicentre was 127km (79 miles) west-north-west of Ternate in Northern Molucca Sea region
