LONDON: The Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the Palestinian vice president, Hussein Al-Sheikh, met in Ankara on Tuesday to discuss recent developments in the region and explore ways in which cooperation between their states might be enhanced. Al-Sheikh reiterated Palestine’s condemnation of ongoing Iranian attacks against Gulf nations, Jordan and Turkiye, and underscored the importance of efforts to safeguard their sovereignty and achieve regional peace and stability, the Palestinian Wafa news agency reported.
