LONDON: Bahraini authorities arrested three people on suspicion of forming a cell linked to Hezbollah, which has been designated a terrorist group since 2013. The Ministry of Interior identified the suspects in their 20s on Monday as Ahmed Madan, Hassan Ashoor and Muntadhar Madan. They are suspected of espionage aimed at undermining Bahrain’s sovereignty, spreading fear and panic, and endangering the country’s security and safety, Bahrain News Agency reported.
