Prime minister approves tougher action against shadow fleet of oil vessels attempting to evade sanctions

Britain's armed forces and law enforcement have been authorized to board sanctioned vessels of Russia's so-called shadow fleet, Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced Wednesday.

Says criminal proceedings may be brought against owners, operators and crew of boarded ships for breaches of sanctions legislation.
