RIYADH: Eid Al-Fitr will be celebrated on Friday in Saudi Arabia after the Shawwal crescent moon was not sighted on Wednesday evening, the Supreme Court announced. Muslims in the Kingdom will therefore fast for 30 days this year and the Eid prayer will be held 15 minutes after sunrise on Friday. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court made an official call urging Muslims across Saudi Arabia to sight the crescent moon of Shawwal on Wednesday evening, Ramadan 29, corresponding to March 18, 2026.
