Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Monday that the meeting between President Donald Trump and Chinese Leader Xi Jinping could be delayed for logistical reasons during an appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”

Trade analysts said that with Washington's focus on the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, prospects for a major trade breakthrough are limited.

The White House has said that Trump will travel to China from March 31 to April 2, though Beijing has not officially confirmed it.
