LONDON: The foreign ministers of Syria and Jordan on Thursday condemned Iran’s “unjustified” attacks on Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Jordan. At a meeting in Damascus, Syria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Asaad Al-Shaibani and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi also criticized Israel’s airstrikes on the Syrian Arab Republic, calling them a violation of international law and the nation’s sovereignty and demanded an immediate Israeli withdrawal to the disengagement lines of 1974.
