A Finnish couple took first place in one of Britain's most unusual annual competitions: the U.K. Wife Carrying Race in Dorking, Surrey.

Dozens took part in the race up and down the Nower in Dorking, Surrey.

On Sunday, Teemu Touvinen and Jatta Leinonen from Finland were crowned the winners at 1 minute and 45 seconds. Their prize? A barrel of local ale.
