RIYADH: Nine drones heading toward Shaybah Oil Field were intercepted and destroyed in the Empty Quarter, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense said on Monday. A ballistic missile and drones launched toward the Eastern Province was also shot down, the ministry announced early on Tuesday. The interceptions come a day after two Bangladeshis were killed and 12 others injured when a projectile fell on a residential area in the Kingdom’s Al-Kharj governorate.
