The Pentagon on Sunday afternoon announced that a seventh U.S. service member died after he was seriously wounded last week in the widening conflict.

Sgt. Benjamin Pennington, 26, of Glendale, Kentucky, died from injuries sustained in an attack in Saudi Arabia.

Pennington, 26, from Glendale, Kentucky, was wounded on March 1 during an Iranian strike at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. He died on Sunday.
