LONDON: Oman has postponed the Muscat International Book Fair due to the Iran war and increased tensions in the Gulf region. Minister of Information Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Harrasi, who chairs the fair’s committee, said the event would be held at a later date, the Oman News Agency reported. The 30th edition of the fair was scheduled to run from March 26 to April 5. Al-Harrasi said the decision followed a thorough assessment of the circumstances in the region. Oman is one of several Gulf states to have been hit by Iranian drones since the conflict began.
