Footage captures drone strike near Dubai Airport

Eyewitness footage shows a drone appearing to strike close to Dubai International Airport on Saturday (7 March). Video shows the moment the drone flies towards the airport before it drops and explodes close to a terminal building. The person filming can be heard saying “oh my gosh” as an explosion is seen. Local residents said fragments from the drone fell close to Terminal 2, triggering an emergency response. Emirates Airlines had previously issued an update to passengers as they announced all flights were suspended “until further notice”. That post has now been deleted and replaced by one saying services have resumed.
