He is accused of repeatedly calling his ex-wife, reality TV star Billi Mucklow, in March last year “without reasonable excuse”. A trial date has been set for 18 January 2027 at Chelmsford Crown Court. Carroll formally entered his plea via video link on Wednesday, after a scheduling mix-up meant he missed the initial hearing on Tuesday. The footballer, who currently plays for Dagenham & Redbridge, was granted bail.
