Trump says it is ‘too late’ for talks as US presses on with Iran campaign

LONDON: President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that Tehran had sought talks with Washington but claimed it was “too late,” as the US pressed ahead with its military campaign against Iran. “Their air defense, Air Force, Navy, and leadership is gone. They want to talk. I said ‘Too Late!’” Trump wrote on his Truth Social profile, responding to an opinion piece. In a separate overnight post, Trump said the US had sufficient weapons stockpiled to sustain prolonged conflicts, describing a “virtually unlimited supply” of munitions.
