Green Party leader Zack Polanski has criticised Sir Keir Starmer's decision to allow US forces to operate from British bases against Iran. The prime minister granted permission on Sunday (1 March) for the US to use British bases to target Iran’s missile launchers and stores to help protect countries targeted by Tehran. “Dragging the UK into another illegal war does not make us any more safe, and polling shows over and over again that a majority of people in this country do not want our bases to be used by US military,” the Green Party leader said. Sir Keir has reiterated that the UK is not joining the US and Israel in their attacks on Iran.
