Jordan distributes 10,000 Ramadan food parcels to low-income families

LONDON: Jordanian authorities began a campaign on Wednesday to distribute food parcels to low-income households during Ramadan. The initiative was implemented by the Zakat Fund in cooperation with Mohammad Abu Soufa & Partners Group and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. Awqaf Minister Mohammad Khalayleh said the campaign was part of efforts to alleviate the burden of living and strengthen social solidarity, the Petra news agency reported.
