A federal judge blocked the Trump administration from ending Temporary Protected Status for Haitians in the U.S., allowing at least half a million people from the island nation to remain in the country.

The protections, which have allowed roughly 350,000 Haitians to live and work in the U.S., were scheduled to end on Feb. 3.
