LONDON: Three men appeared in a London court on Saturday accused of being part of a conspiracy to target two opponents of the Pakistani government living in Britain and attack them on Christmas Eve last year. The men, all British, were part of a “sophisticated and planned agreement” to go to the houses of the men, Shahzad Akbar and Adil Raja, at almost exactly the same time on December 24 and assault them, prosecutor Warren Stanier told Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

Alleged attacks took place in Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire against two prominent supporters of jailed former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan
