US envoy Witkoff says he will travel to Moscow on Thursday for Ukraine talks

DAVOS, Switzerland: United States envoy Steve Witkoff will travel to Moscow later on Thursday to discuss an end to the war in ‌Ukraine, he ‌told ‌an ⁠audience at ‌the World Economic Forum. “I think we’ve made a lot of progress,” Witkoff said, adding that ⁠negotiations were down ‌to one last ‍issue. “So ‍if both sides ‍want to solve this, we’re going to get it solved,” Witkoff told the audience in ⁠Davos. He added that the creation of a tariff free zone in Ukraine would be “game changing” for the country’s economy.
