PARIS: Algeria’s state grain agency OAIC has issued an international tender to buy wheat, with a deadline for offers on Monday, European traders said on Saturday. The tender sought a nominal volume of 50,000 metric tons, they said, though OAIC usually purchases much more in its import tenders. Shipment is required in March if wheat is purchased from Algeria’s main supply zone like Europe, traders added. Algeria is one of the world’s largest wheat importers.
