Ads are coming to the bottom of ChatGPT’s answers for certain users—as the $500 billion startup looks to offset the massive costs of offering generative AI services.

OpenAI said ads would not influence ChatGPT's responses and that it will "never" sell user data to advertisers.

OpenAI is also expanding its cheaper subscription tier, ChatGPT Go, to all countries where it operates.

Ads to be placed alongside answers as OpenAI looks to beef up revenue for flagship AI product
