It was a somewhat sad end for one of the UAE’s great talents, one whose last five years as professional were ruined by injuries. It may have taken a few years for the Whites to have a new hero on the pitch, but in Yahya Alghassani, 27, the UAE finally have one of their own to take the national team forward.
