U.S. seizures of vessels carrying Venezuelan oil may become a bigger strategic pressure point in the geopolitical battle with China, a major buyer of the crude.

The U.S. Coast Guard led another seizure of an oil tanker in international waters near Venezuela on Saturday amid a blockade of Venezuela.

The move comes days after President Donald Trump said that he was ordering a blockade of sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela.
