Mercoledì l’emittente pubblica islandese RÚV ha annunciato che boicotterà la prossima edizione dell’Eurovision Song Contest per protestare contro la partecipazione di Israele, decisa a maggioranza dall’EBU (European Broadcasting Union, l’ente che organizza il concorso) la scorsa settimana. In pratica significa che il concorrente dell’Islanda non parteciperà alla competizione del 2026 e che il programma non verrà mandato in onda nel paese. Giovedì scorso avevano preso la stessa decisione le emittenti pubbliche di altri quattro paesi: Spagna (RTVE), Paesi Bassi (Avrotros), Irlanda (RTÉ) e Slovenia (RTV).
