The U.S. announced a deal with Britain for zero tariffs on pharmaceutical products and medical technology which will lead to Britain spending more on medicines.
The expected deal follows threats of tariffs as high as 100% on branded drug imports.
Agreement also calls for NHS to increase net price it pays for new medicines by 25%
The deal involves a major change in how the UK values drugs and will apply to all new medicines, not just US ones.
The United States and the United Kingdom have agreed on a zero-tariffs deal for medications manufactured in Britain. The NHS will pay more for drugs.
