Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt granted clemency to Tremane Wood, who was convicted for his role in the death of migrant farmworker Ronnie Wipf in 2002.

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt issued his noticed shortly before Wood was slated to be executed, "after a thorough review of the facts and prayerful consideration."

His case marks only the second time Gov. Kevin Stitt has commuted a death sentence since entering office in 2019.
