China has rolled back a number of restrictions on its export of critical minerals and rare earth materials to the U.S., in a sign of thawing trade tensions.

The two countries agreed to roll back a range of punitive measures, including steep tariffs, export controls for critical minerals and advanced technology.

The suspension takes effect from Sunday until Nov. 27, 2026, the ministry said in a statement. It did not give any further details.
