Remains of Amiram Cooper and Sahar Baruch returned to Israel for burial after identification process, Israeli military said

Hamas and Israel continue to clash over the 13 bodies of hostages still held in Gaza

The Israeli military say the bodies will be transferred to its forces in Gaza, before being taken to forensic experts for identification.

Hamas has handed over the remains of two more bodies it says are former hostages to Israel via the Red Cross, the Israeli prime minister's office said.

Office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the two bodies had been received by Israel.

Bodies returned after Hamas hands over two more bodies of Israeli captives, as Palestinians wonder if truce will hold.

The remains will undergo formal identification in Israel, as the return of deceased hostages under a ceasefire continues.

Israel announced on Sunday that the remains will be examined by forensic experts, as health officials in Gaza struggle to identify bodies without access to DNA kits.

The Red Cross is transporting the remains while Israel and Hamas trade blame over repeated violations of the shaky Gaza truce.
