The U.S. Senate is expected to vote Wednesday afternoon on a measure that would fund the government, and President Donald Trump said he plans to release a list Friday of "Democratic" programs he's eliminated.

Little is expected to change Monday as the government enters the 13th day of a shutdown with lawmakers on a break in observance of a bank holiday.

The Senate is set to return on Tuesday to vote for an eighth time on reopening the government. The plan is expected to fail again.
