Egypt, US discuss Sharm El-Sheikh summit on Gaza

CAIRO: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Saturday discussed preparations for the upcoming Sharm El-Sheikh summit on Gaza’s reconstruction, which will be co-chaired by the Egyptian and US presidents. Egypt’s Foreign Ministry said the talks covered regional developments, progress in the Palestinian issue, and ongoing efforts to end the war in Gaza. The two ministers looked at arrangements for the summit, international participation, and the implementation of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
