The car manufacturer has been in shutdown since the beginning of the month, leading to estimated costs of £50m a week in lost production. The UK government agreed to a £1.5bn loan guarantee to JLR over the weekend to protect the company and its supply chain. The cyber attack put over 33,000 JLR employees and numerous supply chain jobs at risk, with some firms solely reliant on JLR. Industry minister Chris McDonald urged British businesses to learn from JLR's disruption, following other recent high-profile cyber incidents.
