Japan urges Iran to resume talks with IAEA over nuclear issue

TOKYO: In a meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in New York on Tuesday, Japanese Foreign Minister Iwaya Takeshi urged Iran to resume cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, Japan’s Foreign Ministry said. Iwaya said Japan is hoping for a resolution of the nuclear issue through dialogue and urged Iran to immediately resume full cooperation with the IAEA, as well as talks with the United States, as early as possible.
