U.S. President Donald Trump and his administration have adopted a reconciliatory tone following an immigration raid at a South Korean-owned battery plant.

The United States' second-most senior diplomat expressed regret Sunday over the immigration raid at a Hyundai car battery plant in Georgia earlier this month.

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung called the raid "bewildering" and warned Thursday that the raid could discourage future investment.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote: "I don't want to frighten off or disincentivize investment."
