DAKAR, Senegal: The West African nation of Ghana is the latest in a growing list of African countries that have received third-country nationals deported by the US or agreed to receive them, a controversial approach whose legality lawyers for the deportees have questioned. Other African nations that have received such deportees from the US include Eswatini, Rwanda and South Sudan. Uganda has agreed to a deal with the US to take certain deported immigrants, although it is yet to receive any.
