Trump administration wants Lisa Cook to be removed from the Fed Reserve board by Monday, ahead of interest rate meet.

Documents obtained by The Associated Press also showed that on a second form submitted by Cook to gain a security clearance, she described the property as a “second home.”

“A stay by this court would therefore be the first signal from the courts that our system of government is no longer able to guarantee the independence of the Federal Reserve."

Government said Cook’s legal arguments for why she should stay in the job were meritless. She has been accused of mortgage fraud.

In a 2-1 decision, the appeals court found that Cook's due process rights were violated because the administration did not give her a formal opportunity to respond to the charges.
