The Charlie Kirk Show paid an emotional tribute to the Conservative activist in the first episode to air after his death. Trump ally Kirk was fatally shot during a trademark “Prove Me Wrong” debate at a Utah college campus on Wednesday. On Friday (12 September), his show went live with his empty seat at the table. Holding back tears, his colleagues said: “Charlie would've wanted us to be here. He would've been upset if we weren't here. We've left his chair open and empty, because nobody could ever fill it."

Founder of Turning Point USA was shot at a university event, an act that has been condemned by leaders across the political spectrum.

Kirk, an influential Trump ally who at age 18 set up Turning Point USA, died in a shooting while speaking at a Utah campus event.
