Poland's military command said Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by "drone-type objects" during the Russian attack across the border in Ukraine.

It was the first time the NATO member directly engaged with Russian military assets in its airspace since Moscow's invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

The incident marks the first time the NATO member has directly engaged Russian assets in its airspace since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
