Saudi leaders send condolences after Sudan landslide

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sent their condolences early on Wednesday to the people of Sudan after a landslide in the country reportedly killed over 1,000 people. Sudanese authorities, the UN and aid groups rushed to the village of Tarasin in the remote Jebel Marra range, in Darfur, to support humanitarian efforts. The landslide hit the village on Sunday after heavy rain, according to the armed group that controls the area.
