The Republican-majority Senate voted 50-49 to confirm Bove to a lifetime appointment on the Philadelphia-based 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

A second whistleblower came forward in the appointment of Emil Bove to an appellate court judgeship, saying he told attorneys to flout court orders.

Bove faced credible allegations of telling DOJ attorneys to defy court orders. Republicans confirmed him to a seat on a U.S. appeals court anyway.
