California officials have identified the eight victims who died after a powerboat capsized on Lake Tahoe on June 21, including three from New York.

The Coast Guard responded to an emergency on Lake Tahoe yesterday and reported six people dead after their boat capsized.

Two survivors were also pulled from the rough waters and are being treated in hospital for hypothermia and other injuries.

Two people were rescued and taken to a hospital.
