The war with Iran has placed Israel on the front pages of the media across the world, once again forcing a reckoning in the public discourse regarding Israel and Jews. For years, progressives concentrated on right-wing antisemitism, where its symbols – swastikas, tiki torches, conspiracy theories – were easily identified and widely condemned. Left-wing antisemitism, by contrast, often hides in plain sight, cloaked in the language of justice, identity and decolonization. These blind spots are becoming harder to ignore.
