TikTok was given a lifeline for a third time by President Trump, allowing it to keep running through mid-September in spite of U.S. legislation requiring its Chinese owners to divest its operation.

The president, who has 15 million followers since joining TikTok last year, credits the platform for helping him gain traction with young voters.

This would be the third time the US president has extended the deadline – a potential deal fell apart after Trump launched his tariff war.
