North Korea will send 6,000 military workers and combat engineers to help rebuild Russia's Kursk region, Moscow's top security official said, in the latest show of growing ties between the two countries.

According to Sergey Shoigu, Moscow and Pyongyang also plan to create memorials for the Korean soldiers who died while liberating the Kursk Region

Top Russian security official Sergei Shoigu made the announcement during a visit to Pyongyang for a meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un.
