Almost 300 Labour MPs helped push through a law change that means women will will no longer face prosecution for aborting their own baby for any reason and at any stage up to birth.

If approved by MPs women would no longer face prosecution if they aborted their own baby based on its sex, after the legal limit of 24 weeks, or without approval from doctors.
