Elements of agreement covering car exports to America and beef and ethanol into UK will come into force

More than a month ago, on 8 May, PM Sir Keir Starmer and Donald Trump struck an agreement in the wake of the US President imposing sweeping trade tariffs across the world.

Trade chief Jonathan Reynolds said UK is hopeful for a proclamation from Trump to put the agreement into effect in the coming days.
